Descriptive Text - My Boarding House, Kos Cute

Home sweet home, home is wherever place you feel comfortable in. For me, the best place in Sekaran is my boarding house. In there I rest my exhausted body and burning mind from the long day activity. My boarding house is entitled Kos Cute. It is located in Gang Sirandu no 12 Sekaran Gunung Pati, right behind the wall of FBS faculty.
It is not difficult to find my boarding house. It looks east with large yard. On the front of my boarding house, there are a coconut tree and 2 garbages. Its wall painted cream, there is a small veranda which leads to the two leaves door painted white. On the door, it was once attached the word CUTE, but right now the letter T is vanished, so it leaves only CUE word.
My boarding house is not the best boarding house ever. Comparing to the other, Kos Cute considered as bellow average boarding house. Actually, the location is nice but the facility is not. It consist of seven bedrooms, and three bathrooms, one living room and one garage. The living room is decorated by  4 wooden chairs and a table. There also a television and a mattress there to watch TV show comfortably. For each room, we are facilitated with a cupboard, a table, a plastic chair and a not so pleasant bed. The existence of a window for each rooms makes the healthful air flowing the room. Something missing from this boarding house is kitchen.
Right now there are 12 persons living under its roof, all of them are students from Art and Langage Faculty. The owner of Kos Cute is not living with us. Even so Kos cute is keep tidy and clean because it swept and moped everyday. All of the member make sure that our home is clean. If I can describe my boarding house with single word, I will called it Tokyo, a small area with lot of people live there and noises never absent, but it is still clean and we live happily there.

One hot midday, it was very hot, too hot until my bone were melting. I was too afraid to move even for an inch, so I spent the day watching movie and drinking pop ice under the AC. It was a heaven activities in hell situation. All of sudden, my mom called my name and asked me to buy sugar in the shop.
I did not want to go, my body was chilled just imagining of how hot it was walking outside burning under the sun, but I did not want my mom turning me into a stone like Malin Kundang. With a great unwillingness, I grabbed my brother’s hat – too lazy to look for an umbrella, and went to the shop.
One step from  the door, it was hotter than my imagination. I did not want to walk on the street, which did not have any single shade, it will kill me. So I walked through neighbour’s yard, it saved my time even if  I had to pass some obstacles like stinky chicken coop, disturbing clothes line and wild dog.
In the shop, people were looking at me, whispering, sometimes giggling by themselves. I got the sugar.  Mission completed and it was time to back home. I was walking through the street since it was not as hat as minutes ago. People still looking at me, but I tried to ignore until my friend appeared and patted my soldier “Hey dude, you wear those kind of hat?”
“Yes, am I looked cool? It is because I am hot, wearing this hat refreshing my brain” I answered.
“But is it a new kind of fashion to put a red underwear on the hat?”

Recount Text - Beyond Expectation

It happened 6 years ago, when I was in the 9th grade. It is about my teacher suspection toward my drawing work. Drawing is never be my skill, but I always try the best I can in every tasks my teachers gave.

It started with my art teacher gave his students a task to draw whatever they wanted. I put off this task for later, until I realized that 6 days had passed, only one night left until the death line. I was burning candle from both ends during the night to complete my drawing task for tomorrow morning. I drew a simple picture, a fresh watermelon on the table and painted it with water colour.

The next day, I did not confident with my work. I thought it was unartistic and bad. The teacher checked my work, he stared at my work for a long time. Suddenly, he spoke that it was not me who made this picture, someone must have done it for me. It could not be an art work of junior high school student because it was too beautiful and difficul, even he cannot draw it. In the one side I proud of myself but in the other I up set. I could not accept the fact that my teacher saw my hard-working art  as a cheating work. Moreover he said it with absolute judgement and mocking expression. I could see his eyes was burning a passion flame to embarass me.

He dared me to prove that it was mine. The next week I draw and painted a picture using my own finger in front of his eyes and my friend’s. He amazed and believed. Without a single word, he left the class. He humiliated himself until had no guts to say sorry for giving negative judgement without a prove.

I was not intend to embarass him, but I wanted to make him realized that a teacher should not underestimate their student just because he thought that a teacher was more expert.
